Fingerprints
Our fingerprints are all unique, which means that no one else on the planet has the same set of ridges and lines on their fingers as you do. While we all have similar ridges and lines, some fingerprints are unique to certain individuals. This feature, a loop-shaped fingerprint, is found in 65% of the population. Then there are the fingerprints with whorls.
This trait is found in 30% of the population. The arch-shaped fingerprint, on the other hand, is the rarest. It is found in only 5% of the population, which is extremely uncommon!
Red Hair
Red hair is a one-of-a-kind and lovely feature. How many people have you met with naturally red hair that has not been dyed? This trait only occurs naturally in one to two percent of the human population, so there are probably not as many as you think.
It is more common in people with Northern or Northwestern European ancestry, and it is less common in other populations. A recessive allele on chromosome 16 is responsible for the characteristic. Red hair comes in a variety of hues and shades, and it’s associated to fair skin, freckles, and Ultraviolet light sensitivity.
