Beauty Marks
People often despise birthmarks, to the point where some opt to have the mark removed at some point in their lives. Birthmarks can appear anywhere on the body and are usually harmless. While many people are self-conscious about their visible birthmarks, others value their uniqueness. Take, for example, Cassandra Naud.
Cassandra, a professional dancer, was born with a large birthmark under her left eye, and despite begging for a birthmark removal operation as a child, she turned it down after learning that it could leave a scar. She now values her distinguishing feature and accepts herself as she is. Inspiring!
Cat-Eye Syndrome
Let’s face it: cat eyes are absolutely captivating in every sense of the word. There are some people on the planet who have this characteristic, which is known as Schmid-Fraccaro syndrome. Coloboma is a condition in which there is a partial absence of ocular tissue in the iris, which often affects both eyes.
This causes the pupil to become elongated and blackened, resembling a cat’s eye. However, this abnormality does not appear in all people with this syndrome. Approximately half of them have normal-looking eyes. Now, as cool as it may appear, there are a number of medical issues associated with the condition, the most obvious of which is poor vision.
