Albinism
Albinism is a rare genetic disorder in which your body produces little to no melanin, the pigment that determines the color of your skin, hair, and eyes. Oculocutaneous albinism affects one out of every 20,000 people on the planet.
Photophobia, amblyopia, and nystagmus are some of the vision problems associated with albinism. Albino people are also more susceptible to sunburn and skin cancer due to their lack of pigmentation.
Blue Eyes
Let’s be honest: blue eyes are absolutely stunning. Many people would go to great lengths to have these eyes. Blue eyes, on the other hand, aren’t as common as you might think.
Only 8% of the world’s population has blue eyes because they are genetically recessive. A mutation in the HERC2 gene is said to cause a person to be born with blue eyes, proving that it’s a rare — and amazing — feature.
