Aqrabuamelu

The Aqrabuamelu or scorpion is a hideous beast from old Mesopotamia, particularly from the Babylonian myths of creation. They are a scorpion’s and a man’s combination, a scorpion’s body with a person’s face, torso, and arms. As they looked awful and were made to fight the Gods, they are also guardians and sometimes alert travelers at risk.

Fauns or goat men have been transported from Greek Satyrs to Roman mythology. The presence of Satyr was based, in turn, on the god Pan. With a goat’s legs and tail, a man’s upper body.
