Golem
Golems are portrayed as creatures made of inanimate matter, such as clay or mud, that have been resurrected to fulfill some Jewish folklore tasks. In some legends, a golem is built to protect Jews from antisemitic attacks. And according to legend, golems are incredibly loyal and would carry out instructions to the letter, so their designers had to be very careful what they wanted them to do.

Ogre
Ogres appear in myths and legends from all over the world, and although the term comes from the ancient Etruscan god Orcus, the beast itself originated from the man-eating god. Many of us are familiar with ogres thanks to Shrek, but Shrek isn’t your average ogre. Ogres are typically big, heavy, and hairy, with a voracious appetite. They’re either portrayed as dull and dim-witted or as brutal, but who knows? Perhaps they’re layered like an onion.
